Things to note when putting vulcanizing agent into the mill

Open mixer is the abbreviation of open rubber mixer. A rubber mixing machine with exposed rollers used in rubber factories to prepare plasticized rubber, mixed rubber, or for hot mixing and extrusion.
After weighing the amounts of the mixed rubber and vulcanizing agent, the next thing to do is to add the vulcanizing agent. It is recommended to follow the following steps.
1. First, clean the mill to ensure its cleanliness to prevent other impurities from being mixed in. Then adjust the roll distance of the open mill to a small size, and put the mixed rubber into the open mixer for thinning. After thinning is completed, the roller distance of the open mill should be appropriately enlarged to allow the mixed rubber to be evenly wrapped on the rollers. The surface temperature of the rubber compound should be around 80oC.
2. Control the temperature of the mixed rubber at about 60~80 °C by adjusting the roller distance and appropriately flowing cooling water. At this time, start pouring the vulcanizing agent into the mixed rubber.
Things to note when putting vulcanizing agent into the mill:
a. Put the vulcanizing agent evenly into the mixed rubber, rather than concentrating it in one place.
b. The delivery speed cannot be too fast. If the delivery speed is fast, the vulcanizing agent will easily fall down and will not be easily dispersed into the mixed rubber, which will affect the performance of the mixed rubber.
c. Put the vulcanizing agent that falls under the drum into the mixed rubber.
I believe that through the above introduction, everyone has a better understanding of what you need to pay attention to when adding vulcanizing agents to the open mill. Hope the above helps you.
